Dr. Mark Marnich is a professor of mathematics at Point Park University
He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, his master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and his doctorate in mathematics education from the University of Pittsburgh.
Professor Marnich’s principal interests are undergraduate mathematics pedagogy and curriculum development, in particular, problem-solving approaches and online education. His mathematical interests include statistics and applied mathematics, particularly in engineering. Dr. Marnich is the co-principal investigator on the National Science Foundation Grant project, titled, “T.I.M.E. for STEM”.
Marnich enjoys teaching the diverse population of students at Point Park University and challenging their preconceptions of mathematics.
