Dr. Berg is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Immunology & Microbiology and Director of the Human Immunology and Immunotherapy Initiative at the University of Colorado-Anschutz School of Medicine

She received her B.A. degree in Biology from Harvard University and her Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. Following her graduate training, Dr. Berg did postdoctoral research in Immunology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and then joined the faculty at Harvard University.

In 1998, she moved to the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she was named Professor in 2001, before moving to the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2019.
