Jaap Verweij, M.D., Ph.D is an Emeritus Professor of Medical Oncology, and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Erasmus University Medical Centre
He served as chair of the Department of Medical Oncology, and chair of the Daniel den Hoed Cancer Center at the Erasmus University Medical Centre from 2008-2013, and as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Vice-Chairman of the Board of directors of Erasmus University Medical Center from April 2013 – September 2017. He also served as Founding Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Siegen, Germany, from October 2017 – November 2019.
