Tristram Hooley was appointed as ISE’s chief research officer in 2018
In this role, he is responsible for leading the ISE’s research agenda and working with the chief executive officer, directors and members to improve the evidence available to student employers.
Tristram combines his work at the ISE with academic research and writing and is Professor of Career Education at the University of Derby, Professor II at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, Visiting Professor at Canterbury Christchurch University and Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Queensland. His research and writing is focused on career and career guidance and he has authored or edited six books and a large number of articles and reports.
Tristram is a Winston Churchill Fellow, a Fellow of National Institute for Career Education and Counselling (NICEC) and a member of the board of the International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy, He was a special adviser to the House of Commons Education Committee inquiry into career guidance and has also been a consultant to the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network as well as numerous governments overseas
