    Alice is responsible for developing, building, maintaining and operating the electricity transmission network in England and Wales and playing a critical role in enabling and delivering against the government’s net-zero commitments

    Previously, she was National Grid’s Head of Network Optimisation and responsible for the asset management of a £12 billion portfolio of equipment. Alice has held a number of senior roles in E.ON, including Head of Operations for offshore wind, where she was responsible for the full safety, technical and financial performance of the business. Alice started her career as an electrical test engineer before moving into research and development, focusing on low-carbon technologies. Moving into asset management, she was responsible for implementing a new maintenance strategy across the UK generation fleet. In 2019, Alice was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in recognition of her exceptional and continuing contribution to the sector.

    Passionate about the safety and wellbeing of all those who work in the energy industry, Alice has been a board member of G+ (Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation), an industry body supported by the Energy Institute that promotes world-class safety performance across the sector and throughout the life cycle of offshore wind farms. She has also been a trustee of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and former winner of its Young Woman Engineer of the Year award.

    Alice holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Management Science from University College Dublin.
