Eric Conners is a PhD Candidate and Howard A. Schneiderman Fellow working in the lab of Dr. Arpita Bose
He studies the role of photosynthetic iron-oxidizing bacteria in ancient and modern environments and applies this knowledge toward the development of sustainable technologies.
He earned his B.S. in Biology from Allegheny College in 2016, after which he worked as a Research Assistant in the lab of Dr. Michael Morowitz at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In 2018, Eric joined the Plant & Microbial Biosciences program at Washington University. In addition to his graduate work, Eric serves as Treasurer and a Managing Editor for InPrint, a trainee-run scientific editing network at Wash U.
He also works as a consulting intern with The BALSA Group, a non-profit consulting organization located in St. Louis.
