Hannah Deacon is the mother of Alfie Dingley, a six-year-old boy with a rare form of epilepsy. When Hannah and Alfie moved to Holland for five months to access medicine containing THC, Alfie’s condition improved dramatically, after which Hannah became the first person to legally enter UK with cannabis oil to help her son in June 2018. She now leads the campaign group End Our Pain, working with 18 families who have not been allowed to apply for a licence as they do not have their doctor’s backing. She also works as Patient Advocacy Specialist for ECH.
