Herman is Flexible Power Systems’ solution architect, where he contributes to FPS operate, the real time platform that manages EV fleet operations, including smart charging. One of his responsibilities is to extend their smart charging capabilities with Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), a form of AI. One of the things AI can achieve to help decarbonise, is to prioritise charging when we know there is a lot of clean energy, for example from wind turbines, available on the grid.
