Jenny L. Wilkerson, Ph.D., is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
She is a member of the TTUHSC Center for Translational Neuroscience and Therapeutics, a full affiliate member of the Laura Bush Institute for Women’s Health and serves in a leadership capacity in the Texas Center for Comparative Cancer Research (TC3R). Dr. Wilkerson’s research broadly encompasses the involvement of the immune system in preclinical models of pathological pain and drug addiction, with an emphasis on natural product pharmacology.
She has over 40 peer reviewed scientific publications and has been funded both from the National Institutes of Health as well as the Florida Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research. Dr. Wilkerson recently received the prestigious R35 Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) for Early-Stage Investigators from the National Institute of General Medicine. She currently holds a leadership position within the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
