Jim has over 30 years in healthcare, biotech, and MedTech, with expertise in management, commercialisation, raising capital, regulatory pathways, project management, IP, and product and manufacturing development.
Originally qualified and working in clinical and molecular microbiology, Jim also has experience in MedTech and life science start-ups and was the CEO of an NHS spin-out developing innovative surgical devices from concept to market, including gaining regulatory approval in Europe, USA, Australia and Asia.
Before joining CPI, Jim was CEO of a company developing a novel therapeutic and diagnostic for use in acute stroke and other indications. He has also held senior roles in MedTech, innovation and regulatory consultancy, including several Director roles. He is currently a Grand Challenge Lead at CPI’s Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre.
