Kate Edwards is a Director at LumiBio. She has over 20 years experience of working within the NHS as a health economist and strategic and operational health care planner
Kate was part of the senior team at NHS Property Services where she was responsible for the growth and development of relationships with key influencers and stakeholders across the NHS.
During her time at NHS Property Services and as a member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) Kate was responsible for service improvement strategies, developing and delivering these strategies on a national scale. As part of this work Kate supported the delivery of FM rationalisation of over 2,300 Hard and Soft FM contracts across the organisation. Following the consolidation of these contracts she and led the mobilisation of new Hard and Soft FM contract awards for the NHSPS property portfolio in the North of the UK. Supporting the delivery of a £22m saving back to the NHS on £200m value of outsourced contracts.
In her role as a Healthcare Planner Kate has provided strategic and operational healthcare planning services in the successful delivery of 21 Primary Healthcare Developments across the UK via the LIFT Programme.
Kate’s extensive experience in this field has seen her working alongside operational NHS delivery teams, clinicians, infection control, and estates and facilities management teams. Ensuring the delivery of exemplar healthcare environments with embedded flexibility and continuous service improvement strategies for the benefit and safety of the patients and staff using healthcare facilities.
