    Keith Williamson is the managing director with Alvarez & Marsal in London and previously led the firm’s disputes and investigations team in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland from 2012 to 2022

    He brings more than 25 years of forensic and investigative accounting experience. He specialises in investigations of fraud, corruption (US FCPA / UK Bribery Act) and regulatory issues, asset tracing and recovery, and litigation support and expert witness services for disputes. Keith has also given evidence and been cross-examined in legal proceedings relating to forensic accounting matters.

    Most recently at A&M, he has been investigating allegations of US FCPA violations in China and Singapore, performing forensic accounting reviews of alleged fraudulent activity in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, performing an investigation of short seller allegations relating to the China operations of a US-headquartered business, and performing asset tracing exercises across the region.

    Prior to joining A&M in 2011, Keith spent six years with AlixPartners in London. Here he served as managing director responsible for leading investigations and compliance reviews across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He also spent 10 years with Deloitte’s forensic and dispute services team, including three years working in Asia at their Hong Kong office.

    Keith earned a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Birmingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also held the role of Director for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, which is dedicated to serving the physical, medical, educational and emotional needs of vulnerable children in Vietnam and Mongolia, and have recently been assisting Women In Sport Empowered (WISE), a charity focused on facilitating the involvement of more women and girls in sport in Hong Kong.
