After studying neuroscience at the University of Sussex, Lucy completed a PhD in behavioural nutrition followed by research positions at University College London and the University of Sussex. She maintains links with the University of Sussex as Honorary Senior Research Fellow.
Lucy previously worked at the British Nutrition Foundation as Senior Scientist and Editor of the charity’s peer-reviewed journal, Nutrition Bulletin, before moving to Diabetes UK in 2019 where she is now Head of Research Communications. Lucy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2008.
