Maite Ruiz Pérez has a PhD in Advances in Microbial and Parasitic Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and MsC in Genetics, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology, University of A Coruña
She has a degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Vigo. Maite has developed her professional activity at the Mariñas Research Center (CIMA) collaborating in different projects related to aquaculture and marine pathology.
In addition, Maite has worked at the National Lobster Hatchery (Cornwall, UK) as R&D technician in projects related to aquaculture. She is currently Senior Researcher of the R&D technician in the Eco Bio Technologies Area of CETIM, working in the field of microbiology, bioprocesses, biological water treatment systems, development of biological products, valorisation of by-products and eco & bio production technologies.
