Dr. Marco J.G. Linders obtained his M.Sc. degree in chemical engineering in 1994 at the Delft University of Technology. Subsequently he performed a Ph.D. research at the Delft University of Technology on the subject of adsorption and diffusion processes in porous materials. He started working for TNO in 1998, where he was involved in research on new adsorption materials and air purification processes (gas treatment). Since 2008 he has been involved in the field of renewable energy at TNO, department Sustainable Process and Energy Systems ‘SPES’, first as senior scientist, and from 2016 onwards as senior project manager. More specifically he is involved in projects that support the energy transition and reduce CO2 emissions that cause climate change. Some focus areas are: 1) CO2 capture on ships (maritime sector); 2) Novel reactor concepts to produce synthetic fuels like methanol, DME and aromatics; 3) Molten metal methane pyrolysis to produce hydrogen and solid carbon.
Since 2016 Marco is an IPMA certified Project Management Associate. He is (co-)author of about 20 scientific papers and 7 (filed) patents.
