I am environmental economist based within the Faculty of Commerce at Senshu University in Japan
I received his PhD in Economics from Kyoto University. I interest is in exploring socioeconomic systems for sustainability. I was born in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, where air pollution was very serious, so I was very familiar with pollution problems. This was the starting point for my research in environmental economics.
I have three projects (research topics) that are centred on the importance of institutional design and how it relates to sustainable development and societies.
- To build a new compensation system for victims of pollutant that is appropriate for sustainable society (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research: my kakenhi project). It aims at reducing the economic, physical and mental burden on the victims and their families
- Importance of institutional design to promote the spread of renewable energy for the realization of a sustainable society:It discusses the link between national security and the formation of a sustainable society, in addition to lowering the environmental burden.
- Theoretical research on sustainable development and sustainable society.
- The structural causes of environmental destruction are analysed from the perspective of the history of economic theory (value theory) and the philosophy of modern science.
