Mogens H. Greve is Professor and Head of the Soil Section at the Institute of Agro Ecology, Aarhus University
He is responsible for the National Danish Soil Databases and coordination of policy support within the area of remote sensing and Soil. He has extensive experience in pedology, soil spectroscopy, soil classification, soil mapping and digital soil mapping. His research interest involves study of soil variability and soil mapping in general, in scales from field to national scales.
He is interested in soil mapping for specific purposes e.g. forest site classification and mapping of Danish Terroirs. He teaches Soil Science, Soil Sensors, GIS, Geostatistics, and is responsible for PhD courses in “Soil Sensors, theory and applications” and “Soil Classification”. He is presently supervising B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD students for their dissertation work. He is currently supervising five PhD students and three post docs.
