Narinder has a Degree in Applied Chemistry and is the project coordinator of the BBIJU-funded INGREEN project
He has an early industry research career focused on electrochemistry, green chemistry, environmental technology and sustainable processing at Rohm and Haas (now Dow) Electronic Materials Ltd as a senior research and development scientist for 12 years. Narinder also spent 3 years as a Business Development Manager at the University of Birmingham, College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Narinder worked as Technical Director for a UK based Anaerobic Digestion technology provider and waste management company Biowayste Systems Ltd before establishing SERE-Tech Innovation Ltd in 2008 and more recently joining start up process science and engineering company iNeuvo Ltd.
Narinder is an early adopter of open innovation practice and has developed a track record of bringing new technology to market and IP commercialisation. He has an extensive network of connections within the food business and the product and technology innovation communities. Narinder is also inventor/co-inventor of 8 patents, co-author of several scientific articles/publications, PRINCE2 qualified project manager and has led and project managed four recent InnovateUK projects, three of which relate to the applications in the Dairy, Brewing and Animal Feed industry. Narinder also partnered in a SPIRE-2016 Reduction of wastewater in Steel, Paper and Pulp, Dairy Industries project SPOTVIEW. Other projects included the recently completed BBIJU-funded PERCAL project converting municipal waste into high value chemicals and the BESTF3ERANET WASTE2BIO project for conversion of waste to bioethanol, biogas and biofertilizer
