    Nicola McCoy-Brown is Group Manager for Growth and Economic Development at Nottinghamshire County Council and Chair of ADEPT’s Digital Connectivity Working Group

    Nicola is the Group Manager for Growth and Economic Development and a member of the Place Department Leadership Team at Nottinghamshire County Council. This is a senior, pivotal role, turning vision into reality, helping shape and lead the successful economic development future of Nottinghamshire.

    Nicola has a strong background in leading and managing large scale interventions, with previous roles in the council as a Growth and Economic Development Team Manager and Broadband Programme Manager.

    With a clear passion and interest in technology, she has helped cement Nottinghamshire’s position as one of the best-connected counties in the country through her leadership of the Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire initiative – a major civil-engineering telecoms programme with an overall budget of £31 million.

    She also works closely with the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport (ADEPT) where she is Chair of ADEPT’s Digital Connectivity Working Group and currently on the ADEPT & Solace ‘Aspiring Place Directors Leadership Development Programme’.

    Nicola holds a Masters Degree in Local and Regional Economic Development from the University of Dundee.
