Philippe Mengal is the Executive Director of the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and its predecessor BBI JU since 2015
Previously, he has worked in France and Belgium as CEO of three companies, Global R&D Director of a multinational and Senior Consultant in food ingredient, engineering and life science industries. He has also been the Technical Director of a research centre dedicated to biomass valorisation and taught a Master programme on chemical engineering.
Mr. Mengal holds a degree in Chemistry and Bio-industry (Gembloux AgroBioTech), as well as in Strategic Innovation Management (INSEAD).
