F. Guillaume Blanchet received a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in biological sciences from Université de Montréal, Canada, and a Ph.D. in conservation biology from the University of Alberta, Canada.
He is currently an Assistant professor with the departments of Biology, Mathematics and Community Heath at Université de Sherbrooke (Québec, Canada) and leading the Quantitative Biology research group. He is also an active researcher with the Quebec Center for Biodiversity Science and the Research Center on Aging.
His research interests include the development and the application of statistical methods and mathematical models to approach a variety of problems in the biological sciences with a focus on ecology and biodiversity. He has over 45 peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial board of Population Ecology and Ecography.
