Rachael is the Acting Programme Manager for the National Wound Care Strategy Programme in England
She became a Registered Nurse in 2009, beginning her career in community nursing, where she discovered a strong interest in wound care. This passion led her to specialise in tissue viability, initially working as a Clinical Research Nurse. She then advanced to become a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist, overseeing tissue viability services in acute, community, and integrated care settings. After earning her MSc in Advanced Practice in 2018, Rachael has focused on roles emphasising leadership, quality improvement, integration, and clinical implementation.
As a Queen’s Nurse, Rachael is deeply committed to community nursing, enhancing care quality and empowering both colleagues and patients in wound prevention and management.
