Richard founded Fordway in 1991 and has built it into one of the UK’s most respected cloud services and infrastructure transformation companies, working with organisations including government agencies, one-third of the London boroughs and Team BFK, one of the engineering consortia which built Crossrail.
Richard began his career at Ruby Computers. After identifying a gap in the market, he set up Fordway to provide infrastructure design, installation and support. Following the 2008 financial crisis he led a major investment to enable Fordway to supply managed cloud services from its own infrastructure, and more recently develop services to help organisations migrate to public cloud services, and optimise, manage and secure them when migrated. These now provide around 70% of Fordway’s revenues.
