Sam Illsley, Head of Public Sector at Mer – Statkraft’s EV charging business.
Sam has considerable experience supporting the decarbonisation of the public sector. Early on in his career, he worked for a UK council in energy and waste management. He then spent over nine years as a senior programme manager at a government-funded organisation, managing multi-million-pound programmes across England, Scotland and Wales, helping the public sector improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
Sam made the move into electric mobility in 2019 as a propositions manager and is now focussed on project implementation and building customer relationships.
Sam holds a BCS in project management from the Chartered Institute for IT, as well as a degree in environmental science, and a diploma in energy management.
