    Sarah is Head of Policy and External Affairs at the British Lung Foundation and Asthma UK, following the merger of the two charities in January 2020, and vice-chair of the Taskforce for Lung Health

    She leads a programme of policy and influencing work aimed at preventing lung disease and improving quality of life for lung patients, covering issues including air quality, smoking cessation, and health service improvement, and conditions ranging from asthma to COPD to pulmonary fibrosis. Recently this has included leading the organisation’s policy response to the Covid-19 crisis. Prior to the merger, she was Head of Policy and Public Affairs for the British Lung Foundation.

    Before this role she managed the policy and public affairs team at Crisis, the national charity for homeless people. She has also worked in an MP’s office and completed an MA in Public Policy.
