Sarah Moran has spent the past decade managing USA Rice’s international marketing programmes.
Prior to working with the rice industry, Sarah worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service and also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Timor-Leste.
Sarah’s first foray into the world of agriculture was managing a programme with Timor Leste’s Ministry of Agriculture which trialled new varieties of seeds, including maize, peanuts, sweet potatoes, cassava and rice.
Sarah has a master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. Sarah has two young children; prior to that, she loved scuba diving and reading.
