Simon Faulkner is Country Manager/Lead Project Manager at offshore wind engineering consultancy, Wood Thilsted
Since 2018, he has been Site Investigations Project Manager for all investigation/survey operations on Taiwan’s Changfang Xidao and Zhong Neng offshore windfarm developments.
With over 15 years’ experience in onshore, nearshore and offshore sectors of both geotechnical investigations and geophysical surveys, Simon has previously been based in the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Australia, New Zealand, China and Indonesia.
In Taiwan, he is currently working on offshore geophysical surveys and geotechnical investigations for the development of a detailed ground model for a 900MW wind farm development in the Taiwan Strait. This includes contract negotiation, government liaison, vessel inspections, commercial management, day-to-day project management of multiple contractor vessels and contracts, internal approvals processes and inter-package communications.
