Tiago Costa received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal, in 2014
From 2015 to September 2019 he was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University, USA, where he worked on ultrasound microchip technology for biological interfaces.
Since October 2019 he is an Assistant Professor at the Delft University of Technology, in the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, where he leads a research group in the Microelectronics department.
Dr. Costa’s groups researches novel integrated circuits and microsystem integration techniques for minimally invasive and precise interfaces with the nervous system for the treatment of neurological and immunological diseases.
Dr. Costa is a member of the IEEE and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems.
