Hart District Council has selected a new cloud platform, Arcus Global, to deliver its Planning and Regulatory Services to improve internal processes as well as to provide a better citizen experience
The five-year contract procured through G-Cloud 10, will see the Council overhaul its existing legacy application in favour of a scalable end to end cloud platform that will cover all areas of Planning and Regulatory Services, delivering major improvements for staff and residents alike.
“We are currently undergoing a review of our legacy systems, and decided we needed a cloud-based platform that could help with our wider business transformation and be the first stepping stone in our new digital strategy,” says
Matthew Saunders, Business and Facilities Manager at Hart District Council. “We selected Arcus Global as it is the most flexible solution to suit our needs. It is intuitive so minimal training is needed, and most importantly we feel we can make a real difference in the future for the Council.”
The new Arcus Global platform will include open APIs so it can integrate with all systems across the Council, enabling deeper insights. Also, being cloud-based means that the system can be accessed anywhere on any device. Great for when staff are working remotely.
Saunders adds: “We are keen to adopt a paperless and mobile working culture so this new platform will encourage this. Our staff will access the system online so discourages old paper-based ways and they will make live updates in the field, instead of coming back to the office so this will make great efficiency savings.”
Denis Kaminskiy, Chief Executive Officer at Arcus Global comments: “We are excited to help Hart District Council in its wider transformation strategy. The new platform will enable a more efficient working environment for staff but also allow the citizens a better customer experience. The Arcus solution is easy to use and instead of chasing with calls, individuals can log into a portal for real-time updates and also be sent communication notifications as they happen.”
